This was first just an experimental symbolic diary of my thoughts and feelings about my life in 2018. The result was so lovely, this piece inspired me to repeat painting a central figure motif in my compositions for years to come.

At the beginning of that year, I started painting this background while I was very hopeful for growth as I was turning 20 and making plans to be very intentional with my time and ambitions on a new path of artistic advancements, before the public shutdowns scattered everyone’s realities.

Diary representing my life in 2022. This was the year of a new life blossoming in Virginia. I made lifelong connections with so many artists and friends there. So much community and so many opportunities to expand my practices; It felt like a torch made of the love in the community being passed to me and I wanted to give back as much as I was given.
